Sharing the load to help Healthcare Providers

Our services provide healthcare providers with efficient access to critical medical information, streamlining workflows, enhancing coordination, and allowing prioritisation of quality healthcare. Despite opportunities and challenges in the evolving global health system, New Zealand faces connectivity issues and insufficient sharing of patient records.

Addressing Connectivity Challenges

Leveraging one of the most advanced health information technology systems in New Zealand, our platform facilitates rapid sharing of vital patient records across the country. In a world of consumer-entered emergency information lacking clinical verification, recommending our 'Clinically Validated' Services and Medical IDs becomes crucial. Clinically verified patient information ensures a reliable source for accurate decision-making and patient care.

Service Engagement with Health Providers

Our collaborative partnership with health providers enhances patient care by seamlessly integrating our services into their workflows. Offering efficient access to critical medical information, we contribute to better patient outcomes through streamlined communication and improved care coordination. Ongoing collaboration, training, and support ensure optimal engagement and satisfaction for healthcare providers using our services.

Notification of Health Care Provider Service Quality Issues

If a Healthcare Professional fails to read or check your Medical ID, there are a few steps you can take to ensure that your critical medical information is properly accessed:

Advocate for Yourself

Politely remind the healthcare professional about your Medical ID and its importance in providing vital medical information. Emphasise that it contains crucial details that can significantly impact your care.

Educate and Raise Awareness

Take the opportunity to educate the healthcare professional about the Foundation and its role in emergency situations. Explain that the Medical ID is not a piece of jewellery but a trusted source of verified medical information.

Request to Speak with a Supervisor or Care Team

If the healthcare professional still doesn't acknowledge or address your Medical ID, kindly ask to speak with a supervisor or another member of the care team who may be more familiar with the Foundation's system.

Advocacy Support from the Foundation

The Foundation can help you communicate wth your Health Service Provider. We can make them aware of the concerns you have and ask them to engage with you to address your problem. This can 'open doors' of communication to positively address concerns and help overcome barriers to communication. Over many years the Foundation has found its support for Members and Health Professionals has been very helpful for both parties and solved many problems before they escalate.

Report the Incident

If you believe that your medical safety was compromised due to the healthcare professional's failure to acknowledge your Medical ID, consider reporting the incident to the appropriate healthcare facility or organisation. This helps raise awareness and encourages improved practices.

Health Consumer Rights

The Foundation plays a vital role in upholding health consumer rights, ensuring timely access to critical medical information, supporting informed decision-making, and protecting privacy.

By offering accurate and transparent information, we empower individuals to make informed decisions aout their healthcare. The platform emphasises the importance of privacy and confidentiality, providing avenues for feedback, concerns, and complaints to enhance patient satisfaction and overall healthcare experience.

Through these efforts, the Foundation aims to enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and overall healthcare experience while advocating for the right of health consumers.
